My work focuses on depicting a somewhat unconventional (most often) female heroine, who investigates relationships, suggestively testing socially constructed values, human behavior and is on the quest for self-discovery. I like to concentrate on subjects that aspire to “Be”, genuinely questioning the world and self. I balance that intensity with satirical work, often depictions of the bizarreness of contemporary culture. I work within the language of contemporary portraiture. I have developed a unique pastel painting methodology, also paint, draw, work in collage, digital media and collaborative projects.
